In little over one year Louise and her family have transformed The White Swan into a true village community pub. Until recently Louise was the AGM of The Crazy Bear, Stadhampton an award winning restaurant and boutique hotel and she has used her experience to great effect so that the pub now offers exciting and innovative food, warm hospitality, with a stylish ambiance. The history of the pub starts before the Civil War and has an old world charm which has been enhanced following a major programme of decoration. The style now blends the warmth of log fires, traditional village pub with a stylish modern twist.
The White Swan has recently been awarded Master Cellerman Status.
Our Kitchen
Innovative food using fresh local produce [wherever practical] is the cornerstone of the kitchen. The kitchen offers locally reared Buckinghamshire Beef, Pork and Lamb, seasonal and locally sourced vegetables as well as Fresh Fish and Seafood from sustainable sources.
Louise’s Mum, Elsa is the mastermind and creator of all our delicious desserts, tarts and pastries. Elsa brings City & Guilds Cooks Professional qualifications plus over 15 years experience creating exciting menus. Her many fans respectfully call her ‘The Queen of Tarts’.
John Doman has recently been appointed head chef and joins us from RAF Halton officer’s mess where he was responsible for private dining and VIP functions and has also won several national cookery awards.
We even have our own herb garden so our chef can pick the freshest herbs every day.

Sarah Walker supports Louise as assistant manager and besides hosting the bar and dining room functions, she masterminds our monthly newsletters, facebook and website.
Open for Lunch and Dinner Monday –Saturday.
Note Kitchen closed on Tuesday. Tuesday evening bar only
Sunday Lunches, full menu and Roasts all day 12 -8pm.
